The Brome-Missisquoi region, made up of 20 municipalities, is full of curves, with its hills and valleys, crisscrossed by numerous waterways and large forests.
To travel in Brome-Missisquoi is to discover a region scattered with orchards, vineyards and farms. Its fertile land is home to 16 wineries, and is the birthplace of winemaking in Quebec. A marked Wine Route passes through many of its towns and villages.
This region is home to many artists and craftspeople. A myriad of artistic activities await throughout the year. Covered bridges, round barns and other heritage treasures tell of the region’s amazing history and also attracts many tourists every year.
Brome-Missisquoi is also a region of choice for outdoor enthusiasts. The Sutton Mountains, valleys and waterways represent an ideal playground for year-round activities. Downhill skiing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing makes winter enjoyable, while cycling, horseback riding, canoeing and kayaking satisfy outdoor enthusiasts in the summer. And numerous marked trails allow hiking throughout most of the year.
